Nelson event calendar 2010
Regular races
Tuesday night blasts – cycling. Organised by the Star and Garter Wheelers, these
start from the carpark in Cambridge St, Richmond at 6.30pm (allow time to register first). Open to
riders of all abilities, $5 entry, graded riding, races about one hour duration. Racing continues
for the duration of daylight saving.
Saturday Bike racing. Tasman Wheelers race each Saturday. Sign on at Sun Dial Square beside the Star and Garter in Richmond from 1.30pm. Graded riding suitable for all
abilities.
Regular training sessions
Cycling: Training, using road bikes, bunch riding etiquette,
6.30pm-8pm Monday, Trafalgar Park, $2 charge. Cycling Nelson.
Cycling: Winter Training rides from Stewarts Avanti Plus Nelson 9.00 am Tuesday
Mornings (Except when daylight saving is on)
Cycling: Long bunch ride, meet Village Cycles, Richmond 3.30pm
Wednesday.
Cycling: Training rides from Stewarts Avanti Plus Nelson 9.00 am Thursday
Mornings usually about 60kms around 2 hours, ride sometimes with the tandem
team.
Cycling: Long bunch ride, meet Village Cycles, Richmond 8am
Sunday.
Track racing: Sunday. Junior Trackies, (5-10 years) 4pm. 11+ years, 5pm. Seniors

Wednesday night Track Racing Trafalgar Park during daylight saving 6.00pm
